Scenes outside the labor room are highly emotional. Trying to draw a parallel between two fathers here!

Husband for his wife:

Journey of 9 month child bearing would seem like a flicker while waiting outside hearing his wife scream her heart. Men are never blessed in this one moment. It’s their child, but she only bears all the pain. You can neither soothe her nor share the pain. When the guilt hits all your head and brings dizziness for every scream of hers all you want back is just her.

And for one single moment, every man chooses his wife over his child.

The prayers chanted will be “Give her back to me”

In the first cry of the baby, everything changes upside down and the fatherhood journey just takes off.

With dripping blood and sweat, he can feel his world split in two.

And the story of every father begins.

Father for his daughter:

It was a long labor pain when I delivered my son around 18+ hours and my father chose to be home because he can’t even hear my sick hello through the phone and imagine the screams?

I’m imagining how he would have been trembling in the pain and saying prayers for safer delivery and thinking through how his little girl is pushing out the human from her.

The moment he knew my son was born he came rushing to see me and held my hands tighter while I was weak.

He couldn’t spill a word. There was so much joy on his arrival, but his eyes had all the relief as my pain was over.

The little rascal came in and stole all the love daddy had for me.

When the baby was brought out to be shown wrapped in a towel, both fathers rushed to him.

Happy fathers day!
